Sounds like a strange one and certainly not one that mine seems to suffer from. As Dooby said I was thinking of coming to Marham but missed out on a space, not your fault I was too slow, but if a couple of spaces do come free and I can get in your more than welcome to a run in my 854R Auto although its running the Rica 304, but it is running the polybush top mount and aside from that I don't think anything running gear wise on mine differs from yours. Least I could do for you organising the day!Failing that twist some arms and see if you can get a space for a spectator! lol

a few small bits if u havent aready tryed them ,as i had major over fuel ,,
1 clean ur maf,or try another
2 lambda sensor mine dint half over fuel it was more like a knackerd ford deisal when reving from the rear

what type of feul are u runing

when u accelerate under under load dose the boost gauge hold or dose the boost drop?

are u sure ur fuel pressure is right/ very easy to do by useing a air gun attched to your fuel rail nozzle ,+is ur fuel regulator /injectors /air filter clean

Hi Powernut,

-The boost holds solid as far as I can see. Although it sometimes drops a tiny bit but then holds.
-I'm running either tesco 99 or V-power
-The airfilter is new but is a bit dirty
-The injectors were new in 06
-My plugs are still very sooty

How do I clean out the fuel regulator?? and what pressure should I have on the fuel rail??

Cheers for the pointers so far

George

yep ur boost sounds fine pal
right feul too
dont quote me think jod knows proper pressure but on idiol mine runs just over 3bar soon as i rev the engine the vacum pressure increses above 3.5 and so on ,a quick pic here how i did mine ,as i found my fuel pump was at fault as evern thow it were pressureing up right,it made my engine miss and over feul, due to under feuling .

ALSO A MONTH LATER SIMILAR SYMTONS OF OVER feul scooty plugs again ,as it was my lamda gone down ,as u can see the differnce (this mainly happerned when the engine was warmed up to tempure not from cold/

HHmmmmm, that's got me thinking,,,,, mine does seem to be worse when it's cold and warming up. Also if I've been cruising on the motorway for a while it seems to get worse too.

Dooby has very kindly offered to save my bacon on this one and let me swap bits over from his car so we can narrow the fault down. If I had to buy all these parts and experiment it would cost me a small fortune so I'm very greatfull for his offer.:thumbs_up::thumbs_up:

I'll keep you all posted.

Forums,, don't you just love em!!!:thumbs_up::thumbs_up:

The temp sensor and Thermostat where new in 06 as well and the temp does read 3 o'clock after about 5 minutes of driving and stays there.

I hope I get to the bottom of this, but it will be in no small part down to the help from yourself, Dooby, jod, and all who have posted.

Standby for the cure :bluegrab:

Hi,

Had a similar problem on my 940..

A change of injectors and the problem went away.

While I am not saying get new injectors but perhaps Jim's injector cleaning service??

Des. . . ;)
