ok parts came today, changed the airbox sensor over, plugged the lead back on and took it for a run. came back switched the car off and it shut off with no probs, so i think that might have cured the problem. i also tryed changing over the sensor that sits on the rad the one with the pipe that goes over to the inlet manifold, when changed over etc i started the car up, and the lam light came on the dash, as didnt run very well, so ive put the other one back on and reset the ecu, all clear again and running ok.

ok so what i did was take the earth lead off the battary for 10mins while i fitted this other sensor in, its been used all afternoon stop starting on short runs, the last time i turned it off, it tryed to restart stop 6 timing b4 the engine shut off, am i right in saying that i should fit the new sensor run it then take earth off to reset ecu because when it gets up to temp on stop start runs this is when it does it and restarting it takes 4-5 full cycles b4 it starts again???? so at this time the earth lead is off the battary, will run it again in morn and see if the running on comes back again, if so i will just run it with the sensor unplugged, as it seems to run fine unplugged.

Hi Lou, any progress or update yet? You have looked at a number of things so we are all wondering if you have bottomed out the problem yet. Please let us all know.
