New solution
Hey all.
After trying all the above at no avail, i inverted Marmitespreader's solution and it worked on a 07 XC 90 SE SPORT. 1- Key on position II 2- Pluck fuse as soon as the window Gets all the way down with the auto-roll function. 3- Key off. Wait +/- 30seconds until you hear a relay click. 4- Key on position II again. 5 - Use button to send window all the way up. This worked for me. Hope i can help someone :D |
Window reset on my Volvo xc90
This totally worked!!! My window kept going back down after I would hit the up button. Then the window froze and would NOT go back down. I did exactly what you said which is so much more clear than the earlier posts. Thank you!!!

Drivers Door Window - Reset Worked!
Nice one Marmitespreader, drivers door window auto close function not working (window re-opening after getting to top/closed position and either dropping back a couple of inches or all the way back down).....followed points 1,2 3 & 4....sorted!!!
Many thanks! Paddy QUOTE=Marmitespreader;1226293]Try this: 1. Engage the auto-down function and remove fuse 11C/5 (for driver's side) or 11C/4 (for passenger side) (located in the driver's side dash fusebox) during window movement. 2. Install fuse back into position. 3. Engage the auto-up function and hold it engaged for 5 seconds after the window has reached the fully closed position. 4. Verify window is now working properly. 5. If this procedure does not work, a scan tool that can access the Passenger Door Module (PDM) and Drivers Door Module (DDM) will be needed. -------- The auto up or down function will be engaged if the button is pulled to the second step. The first step is for manual operation. This procedure can be used for driver and passenger windows. 1. Ignition on pos.II 2. With fingers on the fuse puller on fuse#5 (LH door module) initiated Auto-up driver's window with LH door module button. 3. As soon as window reached top (and before it started to auto-down) pull the fuse. 4. Turned off ignition, and waited 30 seconds. 5. Replaced fuse. 6. Ignition back to pos.II. 7. Tried auto-down, did not work, only manual down worked, used manual down to get window all the way down. 8. Tried auto-up, did not work. 9. Got window to top with manual up. 10. Tried auto-down, worked! 11. Tried auto-up, WORKED! This may also be required: After step #9, hold the window switch up for 10 seconds before letting go. After completing this step, auto up/down worked but prior to holding the switch up, the auto up/down did not work.[/QUOTE] |

Tried many different combinations but this worked a treat!! Cheers |
S60 MY2005
- ignition in position 2 - press door button to open windows - while window sliding down, pull out fuse 4 and 5 f on the corner of dashboard - switch off ignition, take the key out - ignition to position 2 - close the window by pulling and holding the buttons - open both windows Job done. Automatic closing should be fixed. |
didnt then did work ...
Had the same problem with the drivers window backing off when it reaches the top, in the past ive had to get someone with vida to recalibrate it. However i tried pluszowy's sequence but this didnt work, so then i tried the following from pthamblys post,
1. Ignition on pos.II 2. With fingers on the fuse puller on fuse#4 (RH door module) initiated Auto-up driver's window with LH door module button. And was very surprised when it actually worked !, after the fuse pull and reinstall a sign that it has worked seems to be that the auto (button held fully up or down) does not operate, per step 7 to 9 until its reached full travel either way, which i guess is calibrating it. Anyway thanks guys for sharing this great solution |
