You should (R) it and get payed some serious money for that fabulous design and all the hard work that went into it.

I think at least €250k would be in order.

After decades of coming up with brilliant ideas, over-engineering them and then complicating the living daylights out of them, Volvo have gone from one extreme to the other!

Poor idea, under-engineered and seriously simplified!

Result?

FAILURE!!!

It's more of a Wingding than a logo.

That's Exactly what it is , for the digital marking of electronic paperwork ..

Our joint presence in digital channels is rapidly increasing, so we need to future-proof the brand when it comes to its design in this environment. With the new, updated 2D iron mark, we want to convey simplicity, strength and a sense of modern innovation based on a rich heritage.

Are you suggesting the new logo is purely for electronic paperwork and the one on the car badges etc will remain the same? After all, they exist in a 3D world, not a 2D virtaul paper world.........

they also say they will be phasing out the 3d blue and silver ones we have had since 2005

it's the same with the Volkswagen logo

it went from the blue and silver one to a black and white you see outside dealerships now its like the volvo one is a copy of the vw style

Go to any car manufacturer website, and every logo has changed to same style.

Has some kind of law just been passed where every logo has to be minimalist and flat?

Completely off topic I know but how much did Aberdeen Investments pay some marketing company to come up with their new name & branding ?

Saw it on the Rugby at the weekend - abrdn - & thought who the hell are they.
