I cant imagine volvo not having a part which keeps a car off the road .
Have they tried the classic warehouse ?
There is no software needed so you could try a used one .

How do you know the unit is faulty?

So they are plug and play then Clan?
Good to know if that's the case👍

Definitely no stock from anywhere in volvo, the guy in parts at my local dealer is very helpful and has spent some time on this.
What is the classic warehouse? never heard of that before.
Thanks for your help

The Volvo classic warehouse is where volvo send all their obsolete/ unsold parts which are no longer in the dealer's catalogue . Every dealer part department should know about this , ask them if they have looked it up ..

They keep things which would otherwise render the care un-usable .

As I understand it, https://www.gcp.se/en/ is the link to the organization who supply genuine parts for older Volvos via the Volvo dealer network. I imagine this may be what Clan is referring to.

I haven't explored whether they will supply direct to individuals in the UK but their catalogues can be browsed online.

FRF motors certainly know about them as does my local Volvo dealer since both have obtained parts for me from them.

Happy browsing.

For your info airbag light doesn't have to come on with ignition for a mot.. but it's a fail if it's on 🤔So if the bulbs took out it's not a failure 😂 But obviously you've still got airbag issues but it'll save you selling it
