put a couple of winter tyres on the front, turned the battery around to make room for a charge cooler.

Cool :)

Still need to see this run.
You gonna be taking it to York?
(I don't go south of Birmingham, makes me feel poor)

Checked oil/coolant levels and brought it home from rented lock up so I could park my Omega in there over the winter.

Replaced both front brake calipers with newly refurbished ones, all shiny, new Mintex pads, and a new MoT.
Genuine volvo discs were great, left them on.

MoT fail due to a "brake imbalance", not releasing quickly enough, I'd never have noticed, car went and stopped fine. One of the calipers was sticky, possibly both, replaced them both just-in-case to avoid the sheer hassle of going back to mot and doing it all again. Didn't cost much more than a re-test would if needed, and job done, hopefully forever.

IMHO this illustrates how any car needs to be tested, this low-mileage well-maintained car felt fine but had a brake fault. Imagine what some of the 40+ year-old cars are like.

Last person to do the cambelt was a full bore f*#ktard though... Spent more time removing and replacing round bolts than anything else, he definitely didn't own a torque wrench either..

HOW did you get that undone ????

We all need to know.

Hy Volvoy'z ,

So today :

Replace a joint on my A/C compressor (I precise that is not to do when the "beast" is charged of gas)... :

I've cleaned and greased the gearbox "selector rings" and replace a hose clamp :

The night came so quickly. The replacement of the negative cable will be for the next time.
