Join us for our a slightly different annual 300-series get-together, this year at a new venue - the Black Country Living Museum Tipton Rd, Dudley DY1 4SQ Dudley.
All group visits must be pre-booked. I cannot stress highly enough that all members wishing to attend must contact me to confirm their attendance to me James Bottrill. You cannot simply turn up and be let in. The venue would turn you away, causing bad feeling of attendee and organisers.
On a positive side! We are arranging a coned-off area in the car park for visitors to the event. We will congregate and do our meeting-and-greeting from their opening time of 10am, and enter the venue en-masse at around 11am (this is a stipulation of the group visit)
The venue has extensive recreated Victorian street and canal scenes, and eagle-eyed TV fans might recognise a couple of the locations from the BBC series Peaky Blinders. You can read more at
www.bclm.co.uk There are also several transport-themed exhibits, and some allegedly exceptional fish and chips on offer and we are quite likely to retire to a nearby pub afterwards, if anyone needs sustenance for a long drive home.
All are welcome - 300-owner or otherwise - but it would be great to get a decent turn-out of 300s. As I mentioned before, it is essential that you contact me to confirm your attendance. There may be a modest admission charge to pay, but I am working on negotiating that down. If you have any questions, do drop me a line.
