Default Knock with power on and power off

Hi folks...

This could be related to the worn ball joints but i suspect not, i get a noticeable knock when the car takes up power and also when releasing powering, but only if you do it quickly, my initial thoughts was gearbox as its power related but to be honest i am now inclined to go with engine mounting(s), i but also could be related to the lower wishbones and none of the above, just wanted some thoughts on it please?

Check the lower torque mount at the front of the engine. The small voided bush is a common culprit. That said, it could easily be the top mount or any number of things including suspension as you've mentioned. Another favorite on taking up drive is the axle bolts
