No idea if it would stick but you could try and bodge the crack with some Gaffer tape etc as a temp fix.

I think the failing inter-cooler is favourite bet i had this on my V70 P2 which is why I suggested it ....and the black smoke and whooshing pretty much confirms it. its aluminium and will probably be corroded and not holding pressure so welding or soldering a no go due to pressure it takes when under load. Probably a pig to get at anyway as it sits in the middle of 3 rads in the engine....let a tech do it.( i'm quoting my repairs to my P2 though might be different though on a P!) All in at a decent Indie will cost you about £400 but my god does it go like a greased snake when done. I can only say that it is ok to drive for a short time until you get it fixed but get it fixed as quick as you can because it will only get worse until one day you are trailing a black smoker behind you. My advice sort out good indie bite the bullet and have it done properly it will be off the road for a day at least ...(looked ebay for parts)

I'd have thought that JB Weld would do the trick as long as you can get the cracks and local area 110% oil free. Maybe add 2 or 3 lengths of welding rod to add to the rigidity. What's the max it's likely to have to resist. 20PSI? You should be so lucky!
