Are you sure it is from an air con car? Looks just like the non A/C ones I have. A/C ones are a lot wider and the hoses go in the middle of the end tanks not at the top.

Yeah, the car definitely had air con. I have a 97 940 turbo with aircon and it has the intercooler you're describing but that's a FK and the 91 960 this intercooler came from was FT. Not sure if that makes a difference or that the 960 had a Garrett turbo, but google will bring up images of a B230FT with this style intercooler and an aircon condenser by the firewall.

That’s interesting, so did it have viscous fan or electric, this intercooler is usually with viscous fan and no aircon. Because the electric fan is usually wider, requiring the wider intercooler with outlets half way down. So I’m wondering if your car had aircon and viscous fan?

Correct, it had the viscous fan but it also had an aditional electric fan (about 15 inches in diameter) on the outside of the condenser which my 940 with aircon and the wider intercooler with electric fan does not.

Just for the sake of it, here's the intercooler in the engine bay it came from.

They only started fitting the wider radiator and intercooler on 1992 models and onwards with AC. Before that they were all this same version
