I'd also be interested in the European championship stickers. Not too worried about the exact metallic finish, the closest plain colour would do for me. Didn't Wobble say he had a drawing of the sticker you could use?

I do have a re-drawn version of the european chamionship sticker in .ai and .pdf format. I did it a few years ago when I worked at a printing copany, but I could never get the colours to come out right without the metallic background, the shiny gold original looks sooooo much better.

EDIT: good god, I just read the previous page, you can do gold foil now? I must have. How much and where do I send the money and files?!

Hi Nick,

OK.
Yes, they will be made to be reverse mounted, on the inside of the windows.

How many do you want?

They will be available as soon as I have an estimated number of wanted stickers.

Good.

Yes, wooble said that and already posted the graphic here twice.

We all owe him our thanks for doing this graphic for this rare sticker, I guess

Thanks wooble.

Thanks for willing to send the files.

Do you also have its detailed dimensions?

or at least the exterior diameter?

Send the pdf file to the following email address please: turbodxman@yahoo.com (mine).

Will get back with the price as soon as I have the total number of stickers ordered from you guys because, as I am sure you already know this, the more stickers ordered the cheaper / sticker.

Question yellow sticker

Hello everybody,
can I ask you sth.?
I am on the way to paint my Volvo 264 completely.
Do you know anything about this yellow sticker:

http://gallery.volvo-welt.de/v/Cabri...tegif.gif.html

Is it unique (each car another number / chiffre)?
Could somebody reprint it? What do the numbers and chiffres mean?

This is important, because I don't know, if I have to protect it or if I can remove the sticker for painting.

Many thanks in advance
Clemens

Hello Clemens,

It's a real pleasure to hear from you again.

I presume you are fine and your Volvos also.

I can recreate that sticker for you, however I recommend you to protect it with masking tape to preserve the original.

You can take a photo of it (a close up) and measure its height, width and write here these dimensions maybe someone else might need this kind of sticker.

Drop me an email @ turbodxman@yahoo.com if you need any sticker (this one included) but don't forget to send me a high resolution photo of it and its dimensions.

Cheers,

Vic.

Cool

Hello Vic,
concerning the question, if my Volvos are "fine". Just take a look at this photo:

So this is my 264 last Saturday / yesterday. Pooh! Last March the plan was only to remove some spots of rust...

Thank you very much for your offer! I will think about, if I take the risk to remove the sticker with some hot air. If I have success, I let the sticker scan from a company here in the neighbourhood. They have industrial scanners with an extreme high resolution. Then you could get the file with the high resolution scan / photo / tiff / jpeg....

Best regards and a nice weekend!
Clemens

Hello Clemens,

Unfortunately I can't see the photo you've attached in your last post.

I strongly advise you to let that sticker there and mask it up with some masking tape as the original is the best always unless it is in bad shape.

However you are free to do whatever you like with it so keep me informed about the progress, if I can help.

Regards,

Vic.

I too thought it better left and masked but if you do decide to heat it up and peel it off then measure it accureately and take loads of pictures just to be safe before doing so.
Saying that if it was copied and only slightly different in size would anyone notice? The same goes for colour match as the old one has probably changed shade a little with age.
Wishing you well with it anyway.
Regards Brian.
