Default XC90 (2023) <6k miles showing excessive paint marking

Good afternoon

I am new to this forum so thank you for letting me join.

I am seeking some advice here.

I have a T8 Ultimate Recharge (2023) in black metallic, done around 6k miles.

I booked the car to be valeted as I was aware there was some tar marks on the lower doors, sills and rear bumper.

However, the detailer brought me out to look at the car and it seems (on both sides), the car is showing XS paint marks (look like 000's of tiny paint chips) that you might expect to see on a car that had covered 80k miles or more.

I only ever drive my car to and from work and occasionally use my wife's Mustang Mach-e, which has done about 4k miles on the same road (same journey). My son's car has dome similar miles to mine (he works in our business) and his car is unmarked.

I am shocked and baffled as it looks like it needs repainting.

Is this a paint issue (warranty)?

Thanks in advance.

Mark
